Start with the affected stage

Connection issues rarely have a single cause. Account status determines whether the subscription can be read, client permissions determine whether system traffic can enter the connection, split-tunneling rules determine which path a specific app uses, and route selection affects the target service’s actual performance. Checking these in order reduces interference from repeatedly changing settings.

Account

Account and subscriptions

This section covers registration, obtaining a subscription, refreshing a subscription and changing devices. The subscription link is account-delivered content and should be obtained from the user panel and stored securely. The client only reads the configuration; plan status, available traffic and subscription source are determined by the user panel.

What do I need to register for 6KVPN?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password through the free access option in the user panel, then log in when setup is complete. The username identifies the account, while the password grants access to the panel. Use a password reserved for this service and store it securely. Registration does not import routes automatically. Select a plan in the panel, then obtain the client and subscription for your platform.

Where can I find my subscription link?

Log in to the user panel, open the client download area, and obtain the client and subscription for your platform. The subscription link lets the client read available routes; it is not a public download URL and should not be forwarded to anyone else. Copy the full link without adding spaces or line breaks. If the client offers clipboard or URL import, choose the import method that matches the link.

How do I update my subscription link?

Find the current subscription in the client and run an update or refresh. Afterward, check the route list again to confirm that route names display correctly. Manual updates are useful after changing plans, when the route list has not refreshed for a long time, or when the client says the configuration has expired. If the update fails, confirm that the account plan is still active, then copy the complete subscription link again from the user panel and re-import it instead of continuing to use an old locally saved link.

Do I need to buy another plan when I change devices?

No. 6KVPN supports unlimited devices. Log in to the user panel on the new device to obtain the client and subscription for its platform. Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux are supported. When changing devices, do not simply copy the old configuration file; obtaining and importing it again for the new platform is usually more reliable. Sign out of devices you no longer use and delete any saved subscription information.

Connection

Connections and troubleshooting

The connection button, system network permissions, split-tunneling rules and an individual app’s cache are independent. Troubleshoot the client first, then the system, and finally the affected app. Change one condition at a time to make the source of any difference easier to identify.

Why can’t one app access the internet after connecting?

First confirm that the client itself is connected, then check whether the app is set to bypass the connection under split-tunneling rules. Some apps retain connection caches and continue using an old session after a route change; fully quit and reopen the app. Also check that the system allows the client to establish network connections and that the app has not enabled separate network settings. If a browser works but one app does not, the cause is usually the app cache, split-tunneling rules or the app’s own network configuration.

How should I troubleshoot a client that reports a failed connection?

Update the subscription and switch to another route first to rule out a change in the current route. Then check whether the local network can open common websites and confirm that the system time, network permissions and client status are normal. If the device has just switched networks, disconnect and reconnect. If it still cannot connect, record the platform, route name, client message and steps already tried, then submit a ticket through the user panel instead of only reporting that it does not work.

What should I do if importing a subscription reports a format error?

Return to the user panel and copy the complete subscription link again, checking that neither the beginning nor the end is missing and that no spaces or line breaks were inserted. Do not use the marketing page URL from the browser address bar as the subscription, and do not edit the link manually. If the client has several import options, choose URL or subscription import rather than importing a local configuration file. If the old subscription remains in the client, delete the inactive entry first and re-import the newly copied content.

How can I confirm that the connection is working?

Record your current exit information before connecting, then open this site’s IP lookup page afterward to check again. If the exit region changes with the selected route, system traffic is entering the corresponding path. Seeing the client button change to Connected is not sufficient, because split-tunneling rules may leave some apps connected directly. When testing a specific app, close old pages or sessions and reopen them, then check whether the result matches the selected route.

Routes

Speed and routes

Route performance depends on the local network, cross-border path, exit region and target service. A single test reflects only the current session. A more useful comparison keeps the same local network and target while switching routes, then observes whether browsing, playback or transfers remain stable.

What should I do when things slow down during peak hours?

Pause background downloads, cloud-drive sync and system updates so other tasks do not consume local bandwidth. Then update the subscription and try different routes in the same target region. If the service does not require a fixed region, you can also choose a geographically closer exit. Rebuild the app session after switching instead of continuing a playback or download connection that is already stuck. If several routes are noticeably slow on the same network, compare with another local network to determine whether the issue is local access or the cross-border path.

How should I choose a route?

Filter by the region where the target service is located, then compare real connection performance among routes that meet the regional requirement. For everyday browsing and work, prioritize nearby routes with stable connections. For region-specific content, choose the corresponding exit. Route names are only a starting point; actual page-load speed, sustained transfers and app compatibility on the current network matter more. Keep a stable route as your default and retain an alternative in the same region rather than chasing one-off test results.

Why is the connection slower after switching routes?

Different routes take different network paths, and results are affected by the local carrier, the target service region and current link conditions. A more distant exit usually involves a longer path and may not suit situations where response time is the priority. The original app may also continue using its old connection after a route change, so close the old session before testing again. If the new route performs poorly, switch back to the previously stable route and judge it by sustained use rather than one page load or download.

Which regions and routes does 6KVPN cover?

6KVPN covers 120+ countries / 180+ routes. To choose one, check the region on the server page first, then return to the client, update the subscription and select the corresponding route. The coverage figures describe the available range; they do not mean that every target service should use the most distant exit. Cross-border work, content access and everyday browsing have different regional requirements, so choose based on the target service location. When no fixed region is required, start by testing nearby regions.

Billing

Billing and refunds

Monthly subscriptions and data packages use different traffic rules. Monthly subscriptions reset on the activation date, while data packages remain available until used and never expire. Before ordering, confirm your usage frequency, then check the plan, traffic allowance, payment method and current account status.

What monthly subscription plans are available?

Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Choose based on your browsing, work, downloading and video habits rather than a single usage session. Monthly traffic resets each month on the activation date; unused traffic should not be confused with data packages that never expire. If you need ongoing use with relatively steady monthly consumption, compare the included traffic on the plans page before choosing.

When does monthly traffic reset, and how is an upgrade calculated?

Monthly traffic resets each month on the activation date, not on the first day of the calendar month. Check the activation cycle in your account when reviewing remaining traffic. For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is prorated against the remaining days, so return to the user panel afterward to verify the new plan status and validity details. If you only need more capacity temporarily, compare a data package with a monthly plan instead of applying the monthly reset rule to a data package that never expires.

What data packages are available, and do they expire?

Data packages are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. They remain available until used and never expire. Data packages suit users with irregular usage who prefer traffic to follow actual consumption. Unlike monthly plans, their traffic does not reset each month on the activation date. Before choosing, check the plans and remaining traffic already in the account so monthly traffic and data-package balance are not treated as the same billing type.

Which payment methods are supported?

6KVPN supports Alipay / WeChat / USDT. Before placing an order, confirm the selected plan, traffic allowance and amount due in the user panel, then choose an available payment method. Do not create duplicate orders during payment. If the plan status does not update after payment, retain the order details and payment result, then submit a ticket through the user panel. Use the current facts shown on the plans page and in the user panel as the source of truth for pricing.

How do I request a refund?

6KVPN offers a 60-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, log in to the user panel and submit a refund request through a ticket, keeping the relevant order details available for plan and payment verification. Before submitting, describe the issue, troubleshooting steps already attempted and the order you want handled. Refund requests and connection troubleshooting are separate paths; if you still want to use the service, you can submit a route or client issue for support to investigate.
